American Girl this holiday season has some really beautiful dresses for girls and their dolls and last week they sent me a beautiful navy blue one that we promptly fell in love with. The dress we received is part of a new line of products from American Girl called "BeForever" which also includes some brand-new contemporary fashions inspired by the historical dolls they also sell.
Available in sizes 6 to 16, the blue sparkly dress was stunning on both my daughter Victoria, age 7 and her doll, Samantha. The outfit for our Samantha doll is called the "Happy Holiday Dress for Dolls + Charm" and it is beautiful and includes matching doll shoes, a blue sparkly head band and a doll charm.
The whole set for dolls costs just $36 and the dark blue sleeveless dress is covered in sequins with an asymmetrical overskirt, a triple-layered dark-blue tulle underskirt that peeks through, and a satin-ribbon waistband accented by an off-center bow and rhinestones.
This dress also comes in a matching outfit for girls in size 6-16 and is called the "Happy Holiday Outfit for Girls." As beautiful as the dress is dolls it was stunning on my daughter. It sparkles and shines and truly made her feel like a princess.
