SANTA BARBARA PARADE ON LIGHTS IS SUNDAY

31st Annual Parade of Lights: "Wild West Holiday"

By Informational Post December 4, 2016
On Sunday, December 11, come enjoy one of Santa Barbara’s signature holiday events – the 31st Annual Parade of Lights with this year's theme of "Wild West Holiday."

Festivities begin at 3:00 p.m., followed by the boat parade at 5:30 p.m., a fireworks show at 7pm on West Beach and an awards party at the Maritime Museum.

All event activities are FREE!

SCHEDULE

The fun starts at 3pm for the entire family at Santa's Village, on the City Pier in Santa Barbara Harbor (by the boats). Hundreds of families come out to play in tons of snow and take photos with Santa to get into the holiday spirit. The first 200 children receive free goody bags from Santa's helpers!

At 5:30 p.m. the annual boat parade will begin with approximately 25 boats motoring, sailing, and paddling the Santa Barbara Coastline. Best viewing locations for the parade and fireworks that follow include Stearns Wharf, the breakwater and East Beach.

Then the event culminates with a 5-7 minute fireworks display at approximately 7 p.m.

The event concludes with a rockin’ awards gala at the Maritime Museum, complete with gifts and cash prizes.

This year’s event is sponsored by the 2016 Parade of Lights Committee, City of Santa Barbara Waterfront Department, Santa Barbara Harbor Merchants Association, Stearns Wharf Business Association and Santa Barbara Yacht Club.
